1-VIDEO WORKSHOP for teenagers (12-18 years)
in french and english for film terms. (by Murielle Iris, French filmmaker).
Everybody can do a short movie now with a digital camera…but not everybody can have a real experience of creation through it.

We will observe some key scenes of classical movies, trying to detail how the cinematographic tools work to create emotions.
We will be writing a short movie screenplay based on everyone’s best ideas.
Then prepare our shooting scale using film terms in French and English : shot/reverse shot, take, low angle shot , pan shot, whipe pan, close up, tracking shot, establishing shot,bird’s eye shot…
And work together the final cut…
Your approach of films and pictures will be different after this 4 saturdays movie mornings.
And now…ACTION !

2 -Video workshop cartoon?
for kids 6 – 10 years
We will learn the kids how to make a video cartoon.
By observing some extracts of video cartoons , they will understand how it is made : drawing of landscapes and characters, animation, pictures, movement.
We will invent together a very short story.
Then we will draw together the different elements, using arts and crafts technics of sticking, painting, pasteling.
We will photograpy all the drawings, using the frame to frame technics. The kids will directly see their cartoon appearing ! Discovering the magic of the frame to frame movement process.
Every kid will have a DVD with his cartoon as a souvenir…
Durée : 4 x 2heures les mercredi 4,11,18 et 25 aout 2010, de 16h à 18h (4-6pm).
