French for beginners (9.30am – 12.30pm/ 6pm-9pm)
This course is designed for complete beginners who want to have a quick start and complete the first level of instruction over one week.
3hrs/day over 5 days – Fees : $240
French for travellers (4pm-6pm)
This course will provide you with the perfect survival kit for your trip to France or French speaking countries.
Recommended for students with no or very little knowledge of French
2hrs/day over 5 days – Fees : $165 Handouts will be provided in class
Speaking workshop (6pm-7.30pm)
This course is ideal to build-up confidence. The emphasis is put on speaking but naturally revision of grammar and vocab arises. This course will also provide you with an exposure to the French culture.
Available for 3 levels: Level 1 (1.05 – 2.03), Level 2 (2.04 – 2.10), Level 3 (3.01 – 3.08)
1.5 hr/day over 5 days – Fees : $125 No textbook required
Grammar workshop (6pm-8pm)
Need some revision before going ahead with the next level? Each workshop outlines specific grammatical points. Please note you can choose a workshop that doesn’t necessarily have to correspond to your class level. Make sure to enrol the workshop that suits you the best and don’t hesitate to ask advice to your teacher.
2 hrs/day over 5 days – Fees : $165
Grammaire A (as from 1.05) : present tense (regular/irregulars verbs), past tense, near future, recent past, articles, negation, countries prepositions, possessive, interrogative constructions, agreement of adjectives, reflexive verbs
Grammaire B (from 1.06 to 2.02) : futur tense, imperfect tense, imperative mood, conditional mood, pronouns, « y » and « en », direct/indirect pronouns, relatives pronouns, position of the adjective, comparison
Grammaire C (2.03 to 2.07) : pluperfect tense, subjonctive mood, passive form, indirect speech, gerund, prepositions with expression of time (depuis, pendant, pour …), double pronouns, indefinite adverbs, linking words
Year 12 (3 – 6 October: 2pm-4.30pm)
This course will help students to build up confidence while preparing for school exams
2.5 hrs/day over 4 days – Fees: 160$
