Film:
L'Attachement (The Ties That Bind Us in English) is a 2024 tender French drama that swept this year's César Awards, winning
Best Film. It follows a fiercely independent woman whose life is unexpectedly transformed when she takes in her neighbour's two children.
Synopsis:
Sandra, a fiercely independent bookshop owner in her fifties, sees her carefully ordered life upended when her neighbour is suddenly left
alone with his baby and young son. What begins as a favour slowly turns into something deeper, as Sandra finds herself unexpectedly attached
to this makeshift family. Directed by Carine Tardieu and starring Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Pio Marmaï and Vimala Pons, this quietly moving
drama premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival 2024 and went on to win three César Awards in 2026, including Best Film.
Session is open to everyone.
