Join us on Wednesday 30 March at 6pm to celebrate the French claim over WA, with a conference delivered by Myra Stanbury, Research Associate at the Department of Maritime Archaeology of the Western Australian Museum and Noelene Bloomfield, Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia.

(re)Discover the history of the French explorers and among them, Louis de Saint Aloüarn, commander of the vessel Gros Ventre, who took possession of New Holland on behalf of the King of France.

Chris Tallentire, MLA for Thornlie, will join us by satellite and Zoom at 6.00pm, direct from the scene of the landing on Dirk Hartog Island.
