As part of the film "Niki," featured in the selection of the Alliance Française French Film Festival, Caroline Muscat will give a 2-hour talk in both French and English about the renowned French artist.
Dive into the life and the artworks of Niki de Saint Phalle, The Self-Taught Rebel Who Redefined Art.
Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) was a fearless, avant-gardist who shook up the art world with her bold and unapologetic creations.
Known for her blend of scandal and playfulness, she crafted a new visual language that broke the conventions.
From her provocative assemblages and vibrant mosaics to her monumental Nanas—voluptuous, joyful, and powerful representations of women—Saint Phalle’s work expresses empowerment, femininity, and the courage to dream and create beyond conventions.
The presentation will close with a 15 minutes playful and relaxing session of colouring giving the opportunity to create your own NANA. (Paper and materials provided).
