Welcome to our Junior A1/A2 French Class!

This class is perfect for students who already have some knowledge of French and want to review key A1 grammar and vocabulary while continuing to expand their skills. Learning takes place in a friendly and supportive environment, helping students gain confidence as they speak, listen, read, and write in French.

What We Will Learn

Grammar Review & Expansion: verbs in the present tense, articles, gender and adjective agreement, sentence structure

Vocabulary Expansion: everyday topics including the weather, clothing, the house, and more

Everyday Communication: greetings, introducing yourself, talking about family and daily life, the weather, what you are wearing…

Students will build on their existing knowledge, explore new topics, and develop the skills to communicate more confidently in French through fun activities, games, and interactive exercises.

This class is intended for students with a little background in French. It follows a set progression and focuses on the four core areas: speaking, reading, writing and listening.

Students will learn French grammar, sentence building, and vocabulary in a friendly yet stimulating environment.

The main topics will include ;
Daily life; Internet and new technologies (dangers and cyber-bullying); family celebrations; activities, hobbies, and aspirations; studies and school life;

Among other things, the grammar will cover ;
- The use of must / can / want / know
- Future tenses
-Comparisons
- Adjectives
-Review of present and past tenses (imparfait included)
- pronunciation.

Students wishing to prepare for the DELF A2 exam will receive targeted practice to develop exam skills and confidence.

Students wishing to prepare for the DELF B1 or B2 exam will receive targeted practice to develop exam skills and confidence.

This course is for students studying Year 11  French in 2025 or will study French in 2026.

• Enjoy a program packed with tailor-made activities focused around the Year 11  curriculum.
• Practice your French in a fun and convivial atmosphere
• Meet like-minded students from other schools
