Alger, in the 1920's. Rabbi Sfar lives his daughter Zlabya, a noisy parrot and a playful, talkative and liar cat. The master would like to drive away the cat, but this one, crazy in love with Zlabya, absolutly wants to stay with her... He even agrees to do his Bar Mitsva ! He will meet an idealist Russian painter, looking for an imaginary Jerusalem where Black Jewish people would live...
